Brief about Boho braids

Boho braids look a lot like french braids but boho braids are a lot asymmetrical in comparison to french braids. The name boho braids come from the root word bohemian, which generally means a person who lives free from conventional rules. The boho braided hairdo is not an easy braid, but it is a very trendy and beautiful braid. The boho braid raises the majority of hair off the face and neck in a relaxed fashion. The boho braid mostly works best for medium to long hair because the hair has to be pulled all the way from one side of the head to the other side and then worked into a braid.

Do you need to oil your hair before braiding?

Your hair should be clean and moisturized before you braid them. Oiling makes it easier for you to weave the braids, and it does not make your scalp dry. If you keep your hair clean and moisturized, you can keep the braids on for a longer time.

Is it bad to sleep in braids?

If you sleep in braids, you will experience that your hair is less tangled in the morning. Braids also help to grow your hair. Put oil in your hair and make a braid before sleeping. This will make sure that your hair grows faster.

Why do my braids itch?

Braids are a huge protective hairstyle for afro and mixed heritage hair. They shield your strands from day-to-day wear and tear plus, using heat tools becomes near impossible. The terrible thing is that many people experience skin irritation and itchiness from it that can get so bad that it keeps you up at night. And, scratching and patting your head only seems to work for a little while.

There are many reasons for scalp itchiness:

1. It can be due to an allergic reaction to the chemicals used to treat the hair. It’s a likelier occurrence in synthetic hair than a human hair. Still, regardless of the type of hair you use, it’s important to find a high-quality brand with fewer irritating and low-quality chemicals in it.

2. Your scalp may itch simply because the skin that is exposed when you braid your hair isn’t usually exposed to the elements, and the feeling is different than being constantly covered by hair.

3. Some people naturally have dry scalps, and they must take steps to alleviate it to avoid tightness and itching.

4. Your scalp may itch for the simple reason of being dirty. If it’s been over a week or more since you last cleaned your hair and scalp, dirt and product buildup may be irritating your skin.

What makes boho braids popular?

Perhaps it is the versatility that makes boho braids pretty popular among women of all ages. Boho braids made their first appearance around the early 1940s with their asymmetrical, heart-pleasing bohemian appearance. People always say that trends come and go every year but overlook the ever-increasing love for boho braids. Moreover, people prefer the loose and carefree look of unsettled boho braids instead of tightly woven hair strands.
