Batiste Original Dry Shampoo – Clean & Classic

Batiste Dry Shampoo is a convenient product, and it’s a beneficial product for women on the go. It contains a very absorbent fine powder, So once you spray it on the roots, that powder absorbs all that extra oil. It just decreases the hair, gives it a fresher look, and gives a little texture and hold.

Batiste is a UK-based brand, and the number one dry shampoo brand in the UK. The Batiste Dry Shampoos come in two sizes. What I love the brand most because they have so many different variants in their dry shampoo range. For example, they have a tinted one that contains a little bit of a dark brown tint.

So that a dry shampoo doesn’t appear as a whitish powder on your roots, the other variants also have some enjoyable scents like cherry blush. So if you like a little freshening, scent these are great things to try out. I had never tried a dry shampoo before, which had a bit of a tint. So I was a little concerned about the tint. Because I wasn’t sure how strong it was going to be, but after trying it out a few times.

I can say it’s a very light tint, and it’s not like spraying on hair color or a temporary hair color. It just has a very slight Brown hint so that you don’t get that white powder on your hair like some of the other dry shampoos might give you. So this is a lovely variant. I personally really like it. People who have dark hair will like this one.

Living Proof Perfect hair Day (Ph.D.) Dry Shampoo

I have recently stumbled upon a new dry shampoo living proof perfect hair day dry shampoo. I’m a huge fan of living proof, As most of their products are known for being cocktail products. So you can use different products within the living proof line on top of each other.

Technically you should never have weighed down greasy hair like every product is super light but very effective. I have not washed my hair in seven days. Seven out of which six of those days went to the gym. I always go seven days between my washes, No but for testing this dry shampoo.

I want it to push the envelope. So I could come back and give you guys a full report. Now that we’ve gotten past that part and was kind of nervous about doing that. But you know what,? It’s okay because I think for seven-day hair, this looks pretty damn good.

It says it cleans hair and eliminates oil, sweat, and odor. Shake it up and spray it into sections of your hair. When it pours out, don’t be alarmed because it does spray out very, very white. Like the first time I used it, I was nervous because I was like, there’s no way that this will not leave that white residue.

You are supposed to put this in, and it’s going to be white you. Leave it on for at least 30 seconds and do not touch it. Don’t do anything. Then massage and shake the hair out to remove excess product. It doesn’t just absorb and sit there. Your hair feels clean and like freshly.

What, not freshly washed but almost newly washed. I sprayed it in my hair and did something else on my face. So let it sit for maybe three or four minutes and then shook it out. Once you massage and shake it out, all the white residue wholly disappears.

If you have very dark hair, rub it in,, and it’ll go away. So if you want to try it out before making the purchase,, go ahead. I think it’s worth it! I suggest not washing your hair for seven days. If your hair’s not used to it, then NO, But I’m just trying to prove that this is a kick-ass dry shampoo.

Living Proof Vs. Drybar Dry Shampoo

Batiste Vs. Living Proof Dry Shampoo Conclusion

As you have read my review for both the products. You might already know which one is better. Because previously, I was a big fan of Batiste, But after using the living Proof the first time. It was a little confusing to say which one is better.

So I try Living Proof a few more times, and after that, I can say very confidently which one is better. So I will give 4.5 stars out of 5 to Living Proof Perfect hair Day (Ph.D.) Dry Shampoo and four stars out of 5 to Batiste Original Dry Shampoo – Clean & Classic.

Do Dry Shampoos Work?

Dry shampoo lives up to the hype by making your hair look fabulous even when you don’t have time for a wash. You can get that blowout-like look in no time.

It does not wash your hair, which makes its name somewhat misleading. You have to view dry shampoo more as an additional product. These dry shampoos for wavy hair work like magic!

Benefits of Using Dry Shampoo

1. No Washing Required

Dry shampoo takes the time out of washing your hair, blow drying it, and then restyling it.

2. You Can Go Longer In Between Washes

This perk is great for your hair. Overwashing can make your hair very dry, so try to space out your washes with dry shampoo by a couple of days and see how long you can go.

3. Volume

If you have flat hair, dry shampoo is a great and easy way to add volume and texture. You can even use it on clean hair when styling to get the look you want! It also does a great job holding this volume all day long.

Drawbacks

1. Buildup

drawbacks of dry shampoo

Although I love dry shampoo, I have cut down on my use due to the drawbacks. The biggest issue is that, with daily use, it can lead to residue buildup.

The buildup can also be an issue if it starts to block your hair follicles. This would take a consistent use of dry shampoo, but it could really impact hair health and growth. While it appears to clean your hair, dry shampoo actually gives it more grime and dirt, trapping everything in that clogs these follicles.

With consistent use over time, it can even lead to hair thinning and loss. This can be especially dangerous for those with already fine or thin hair. The product buildup will cause those hair types to tear. That’s not exactly the look you’re going for. Check these tips to remove hair build-up naturally.

2. Irritation

Dry shampoo is meant to dry out oil, but this oil can actually be a good thing for your scalp. The reason why hair pros recommend going longer in between washes is to let this oil naturally moisturize your hair. The ingredients in dry shampoo can dry out and irritate your scalp and hair follicles, causing your hair to be more brittle.

3. Hard to Wash Out

Once you finally do hop into the shower, you might still be left with unclean hair. The fact is, with all that buildup, you will have to really scrub to get it out. If you aren’t careful getting everything out, then the product will simply continue to build up.

I recommend using a clarifying shampoo or a scalp scrub after dry shampoo to avoid this drawback.
